About This Lesson
Get your school year started with a set of science-based, easy-to-use resources that make wellbeing a regular part of life at school or at home. The PERMA+ Kickoff Bundle introduces the six elements of wellbeing: Positive Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, Accomplishment, and Health and provides practical ways to practice them together.
With ready-to-go activities, posters, and reflection tools, this bundle helps track wellbeing, set small goals, and celebrate progress, all while building stronger connections and healthier routines.
Families and classrooms will:
- Learn about the building blocks of wellbeing using the PERMA+ model

Ways to Use
- At Home: Post the PERMA+ elements on the fridge, try one spotlight activity each week, and celebrate together when family goals are met.
- In the Classroom: Teachers can send activities home, display the Community Board, and use reflection slips as discussion starters.
- At School Events: Use the posters and board at back-to-school nights, family engagement events, or wellbeing fairs.
- In Small Groups: Share activities with parent groups, afterschool programs, or counseling groups to spark conversations about wellbeing.
- With Individual Students: Counselors or support staff can use the goal tracker and reflection slips to help students set personal goals.

The founder of Positive Psychology, Martin Seligman, explains there are several elements critical to human flourishing: Positive Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning and Accomplishments (PERMA+). We believe in the mind-body connection and have added +Health to reflect that physical health is a vital element of wellbeing.
